In a historic move for India’s housing technology sector, Aawas Yojana has secured venture capital funding in 2025 under the stewardship of its six co-founders: Akash Sharma, Raj Chaudhary, Rahul Pathak, Ankit Sharma, Shivam Badoni, and Prerna Sharma. The project is powered by WT IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd., the company behind the trusted Uttarakhand Police Mobile App, adding unmatched credibility to the initiative.
The Aawas Yojana journey traces back to Vridhi, which won the award for Best and Most Innovative FinTech App for Energy Investments and Community Housing at National PR Day 2023. Following its success and acquisition by a leading proptech company, Vridhi’s vision evolved into a more comprehensive platform — Aawas Yojana.
The new venture focuses on affordable housing access, unsold inventory rehabilitation, AI-driven property verification, and transparent slot-booking systems. With the latest round of venture capital investment, Aawas Yojana is set to expand into tier-2 and tier-3 cities, onboard builders and promoters nationwide, and create lakhs of jobs in the next five years.
